Social Media Marketing Summer Intern

Garden Island LLC is seeking a motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a primarily remote position with optional opportunities to work on-site in Charlotte, VT.This role is ideal for college students currently enrolled in a 4-year institution who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing, communications, or digital media. The intern will take an active role in managing and growing our TikTok and Instagram platforms, while also supporting website updates and promotional efforts.Key responsibilities include:Creating, editing, and scheduling engaging content for TikTok and InstagramDesigning graphics and visual content using tools such as CanvaAssisting in promoting our family-owned rental business and hiring efforts for on-site staffSupporting website content updates and blog or listing postsResearching trends to increase engagement and brand visibilityCollaborating with the team to align content with marketing goalsTracking and analyzing social media performance metricsThis is a hands-on, creative role where interns will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and build a strong portfolio.QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a 4-year college or university (Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)Experience using social media platforms, especially TikTok and InstagramFamiliarity with Canva or similar design toolsBasic understanding of marketing principles and digital trendsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCreative mindset with attention to detailSelf-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlinesInterest in sustainability, small business, or community-focused work is a plusCompensation This is an unpaid internship designed to provide valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and portfolio-building opportunities in social media marketing.
