The candidate will take complete ownership of the end-to-end project lifecycle, from architectural design to post-release support, while mentoring the  team and driving technical excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for building robust, scalable software and fostering a collaborative Agile environment.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nTeam Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, guide, and mentor a team of 5-10+ software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\r\nTechnical Ownership: Drive the architectural design and hands-on development of complex, scalable full-stack applications using the Spring Boot and Angular frameworks.\r\nEnd-to-End Delivery: Own the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.\r\nAgile Practice Leadership: Champion and actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, facilitate the breakdown of epics into user stories, and collaborate closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure sprint goals are met.\r\nCode Quality & Best Practices: Enforce software development best practices through rigorous code reviews, advocating for TDD/BDD, and maintaining high standards of code quality using tools like SonarQube.\r\nStakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key technical point of contact, effectively communicating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment and manage project delivery under tight deadlines.\r\nRequirements\r\n10+ years of professional software development experience.\r\nProven track record as a Technical Lead or Team Lead, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-grade applications.\r\nBackend Development (Java):\r\nDeep expertise in Java (8/11/17) and the Spring Boot ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security).\r\nStrong, hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.\r\nProficiency with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.\r\nIn-depth knowledge of scalability, performance tuning, and distributed systems.\r\nFrontend Development (Angular):\r\nProficiency in modern Angular (12+), TypeScript, RxJS, and state management with NgRx.\r\nDemonstrated experience building modular, scalable, and responsive Single-Page Applications (SPAs).\r\nStrong understanding of UI/UX best practices and experience with modern component libraries.\r\nDatabase & Persistence:\r\nAdvanced skills in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), including complex SQL and database optimization.\r\nExperience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate and JPA.\r\nFamiliarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) for high-performance scenarios.\r\nDevOps & Cloud Infrastructure:\r\nHands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.\r\nExpertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.\r\nPractical experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.\r\nFamiliarity with logging and monitoring stacks like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.\r\nTesting & Quality Assurance:\r\nStrong advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and BDD methodologies.\r\nProficient with unit/integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers) and frontend testing tools (Jasmine/Karma, Cypress).\r\nASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
