Design Draftsman

Title : Design Draftsman Location : Richmond, VA, 23219 Duration – 12+ months Salary - $27/hr on W2 Summary: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Basic knowledge of drafting principles. - Basic knowledge of building and construction principles. - Good analytical and abstract thinking with the ability to process detailed information. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent computer skills. - Ability to process and understand maps and charts. - Ability to use Microsoft office suite of software. - Ability to use AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drawing software. Duties and Responsibilities: - This role will organize and maintain documents associated with design, engineering and construction within the Power Generation Business Unit of Dominion Energy. - Organizes and maintains drawings, prints, diagrams, word documents and pdf documents. - Works closely with designers, engineers, and power station personnel to find and perform simple drafting tasks and revisions to drawings and documents. - Compiles and organizes submittal drawings and documents from 3rd party vendors and consultants. - Locates, modifies and prints drawings using small and large format plotter.
