Oversees technical programs, data engineering initiatives, stakeholder alignment, operational excellence, and engineering best practices to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business decision-making.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\nTeam Leadership & Talent Development\n\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.\n\nEstablish team objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans.\n\nRecruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.\n\nDriving engineering best practices, technical standards, and operational excellence.\n\nProgram & Project Management\n\nOwn the planning, prioritization, and execution of complex data engineering initiatives.\n\nDevelop and maintain program roadmaps aligned with organizational and business objectives.\n\nManage dependencies, risks, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications across multiple initiatives.\n\nEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.\n\nTechnical Leadership\n\nPartner with architects and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.\n\nGuide the implementation of modern data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, warehouses, and streaming architectures.\n\nEnsure data engineering solutions follow best practices for reliability, observability, governance, and security.\n\nSupport architectural reviews and technical decision-making processes.\n\nStakeholder Management\n\nPartner closely with business leaders, product managers, analytics teams, data scientists, and platform engineering teams.\n\nTranslate business requirements into executable technical programs.\n\nCommunicate program status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and executive stakeholders.\n\nDrive alignment across technical and business teams.\n\nOperational Excellence\n\nDefine and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs) for data platforms.\n\nLead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.\n\nImplement processes that improve data quality, operational efficiency, and system reliability.\n\nDrive automation and optimization of engineering workflows.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n5+ years of experience in technology, data engineering, software engineering, or program management.\n\n3+ years of experience leading engineering teams or managing technical programs.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.\n\nStrong understanding of data engineering concepts, including:\n\nData warehousing\n\nETL/ELT development\n\nData modeling\n\nData governance\n\nBatch and real-time processing\n\nData quality management\n\nCompensation Range:\n\n$150,000.00-$160,000.00\n\nPlacement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process.
