The ideal candidate will provide support in statistical modeling, server and software management, database management, web development, and data visualization. Proficiency in MATLAB, Linux, R, Python, or Shiny is essential, as well as experience working with PostgreSQL databases. This position will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing large data sets using advanced computational and statistical techniques.Key Responsibilities:Independently review, update, analyze, and modify existing programming systems.Develop and refine programming methods, toolkits, and algorithms.Collaborate with staff to create efficient data processing pipelines and applications.Apply statistical and computational techniques to complex analytic problems, including biostatistics and statistical modeling.Design, develop, and maintain scientific applications in R, Shiny, and/or Python for time series, transcriptomics, and behavioral data.Manage and optimize databases (PostgreSQL) and ensure efficient data extraction and analysis.Provide technical support for bioinformatics applications and high-performance computing systems.Troubleshoot and optimize in-house software, deployments, and hardware.Document programming problems, resolutions, and system upgrades.Support development of dynamic web applications and data visualization tools.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.At least 1 year of experience with statistical modeling.Proficiency in MATLAB, R, Python, Shiny, PostgreSQL, and Linux (Debian).Experience with server and software management, database management, and web development.Strong algorithm development and data visualization skills.Skills Statistical modelingServer/Software managementDatabase managementWeb developmentData visualizationSoftware & Tools:MATLABRPostgreSQLGitHubLinuxPython and/or ShinyIf you are passionate about computational science and data analysis and want to contribute to innovative scientific research, we encourage you to applyPriceSenz is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
