Our mission is to power the world's transition to clean energy. To create this future, our team is building a better lithium-ion battery from the inside out today. We engineer and manufacture ground-breaking battery materials that significantly increase the energy density of batteries, while reducing their size and weight. The result? Smaller more powerful batteries that can unlock innovation in consumer devices and accelerate the mass adoption of electric cars to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels. We're tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time every day, and together we're redefining what's possible. Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?\nWho You Are\nAs a Process Integration Engineer, you work at the critical intersection of R&D and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM). You will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing process workflows across multiple products and unit operations to maximize yield, reliability, and performance. This is a high-impact role, designed for a builder who is highly collaborative, fluent in process engineering fundamentals, and is passionate about bringing new materials-based technologies to the market.\nResponsibilities and Duties\nPlan and execute experiments to validate new materials and characterize new processes and equipment.\nAnalyze process data and defect trends to identify root causes of yield loss and implement corrective actions.\nDesign and implement efficient manufacturing flows for new products, ensuring compatibility between different unit operations, and maintaining high safety standards throughout production pathways.\nCoordinate with design, equipment, and materials engineers to resolve integration challenges and align on performance targets.\nMaintain detailed process specifications, flowcharts, and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) documentation\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements\n2+ years of hands-on process development and/or engineering experience. Experience in materials-centric industries (e.g., semiconductors, battery tech, specialty chemicals, or advanced composites) is highly preferred.\nProficient in statistical software and the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).\nStrong ability to report technical data to both technical teams and management stakeholders.\nB.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related field.\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions\nPass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis\nWear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes\nMove items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts\nMove long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time\nReach low shelves or items on the floor\nEnter spaces narrower than 3 feet\nClimb stairs or over containment walls\nPrecise and repetitive handling of a range of material quantities\nOperate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location\nTravel as needed to manufacturing sites, up to 10% of time\n\nThe starting base pay for this role is between $107,000 and $136,000 at the time of posting.
