They perform a range of skilled duties in Lithography & coating in the Material center.\nSupport plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and preparation for shipments. Primarily responsible for assisting in packaging of product of internal and external use.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform all press make-ready functions in accordance with safety and quality guidelines\nHang plates, load ink, load stock\nBring and maintain ink settings to and at proper levels.\nVerify job ticket specifications and assure that all materials needed to produce jobs are available\nRun print jobs upon obtaining quality check approval from group leader or manager\nMaintain consistency of quality throughout press runs\nRemove plates and inks and wash-up press upon completion of orders and otherwise maintain the press in good working order\nTroubleshoot problems with jobs and/or press as necessary\nReport any press malfunctions or problems with jobs which cannot be easily resolved to either group leader or manager\nReport any shortage or low level of press room supplies to group leader or manager\nPerforms other production tasks associated with Offset Printing\nPerforms other general tasks as assigned\nRequirements:\nPrevious Lithography experience required\nMust be able to use scale and margin guides\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nUnderstand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training\nMust be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, including the ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear; and walk or sit. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell.\nThe employee must regularly lift and/or move tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
