Job Title: Project Estimator (Electrical)Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid)Job Type: Long-term ContractRelocation Assistance availablePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Project Electrical Estimator with 4+ years of experience to support construction and energy infrastructure projects. This role will assist project teams in developing and maintaining accurate cost estimates across various project phases while ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing ROM, budgetary, and detailed cost estimatesReview design drawings and scope packages for completenessSupport quantity take-offs and validation of contractor estimatesAssist in reviewing contractor bids and change orders for accuracyPerform basic cost analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering supportHelp develop cost estimates aligned with WBS and project schedulesMaintain estimating documentation, logs, and reportsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractorsSupport continuous improvement and documentation of lessons learnedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field(or equivalent experience)4+ years of experience in electrical estimating in construction or energy projectsBasic to intermediate knowledge of electrical systems and construction methodsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to read drawings and perform quantity take-offsPreferred QualificationsExperience with substations, cable systems, or renewable energy projects (solar/wind)Familiarity with estimating tools such as On-Screen Takeoff or similar softwareExposure to the full project lifecycle cost estimationAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel occasionally for site visitsAbility to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsKey SkillsElectrical EstimatingQuantity Take-offsCost AnalysisConstruction DocumentationProject Coordination
