Will perform manual and clerical duties and use computer to track, log, verify, and report the inspection results. The inspector will review the requirements, and will use various measuring devices to perform required inspections, and will determine if processes and products meet all customer and regulatory requirements.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nUnderstand and follow the established inspection processes based on area assigned.\n\nProduct Inspection:\nInspect product while using common measuring equipment including, but not limited to: CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, surface plates, Go No-Go pins.\n\nReview all paperwork required by the Job Order for completeness and accuracy.\n\nReview provided first article reports for completeness per AS9102.\n\nReview any Discrepancy reports on previously produced products. Note discrepancies, stated causes, and corrective action. Use this information to indicate possible problem areas.\n\nWrite clear Discrepancy Reports if parts are rejected.\n\nIdentify and resolve discrepancies and write clear discrepancy reports if inspected item is rejected.\n\nCollaborate with partners in operations, customer service, and planning to resolve issues.\n\nPerforms special projects/tasks as assigned\n\nPreferred Education\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nMinimum 2+ years relevant experience\n\nPreferred Specialized Skills and Abilities\n\nProduct Inspection:\nKnowledge of shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing and SPC.\n\nWorking knowledge of common inspection, measuring equipment, including, but not limited to: CMM (coordinate measurement machine), micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, surface plates, Go No-Go pins.\n\nAble to interpret drawings and part specifications, review and understand Job Order requirements.\n\nGood understanding of AS9100, AS9102 standards requirements (standardized quality management system) and experience working within aerospace industry.\n\nAttention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities, willingness to learn and receive training.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.\n\nFrequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.\n\nThe person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office\n\nFrequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.\n\nOccasionally use of steps, or ladder.\n\nThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\n\nSeldom to occasionally position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\n\nSalary Range\nPlease note the typical hiring range is $25.13 - $34.00 hourly.
