This position offers flexibility to work remotely from Texas or in a hybrid capacity from one of our offices in Arkansas.\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY\n\nThe SAP Technical Developer is responsible for implementing and supporting the SAP ecosystem at Summit Utilities, with a primary focus on SAP IS-U. The ideal candidate will bring experience across a broad range of SAP technologies including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud-based SAP products. This role also includes technical leadership responsibilities, integration of third-party solutions, and migrating new acquisitions into the Summit ERP environment.\n\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nDevelop SAP technical solutions aligned with business and functional requirements.\nCollaborate with system integrators and SAP to define technical approaches and architecture.\nEstimate work effort to support team planning and project management.\nParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.\nDesign, implement, and support Summit’s ERP landscape, ensuring high availability and disaster readiness.\nExecute full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, configuration, development, testing, debugging, conversion, and deployment.\nProvide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement for ERP systems.\nServe as a technical lead within project delivery teams.\nMentor and coach junior developers and team members.\nLead ERP integrations for newly acquired entities to ensure seamless transitions.\n\nEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nSAP or ERP certifications preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of SAP IS-U ABAP development experience is required.\nBroad understanding of SAP IS-U components including FI, CO, FICA, DM, EAM, C4C.\nExperience with collective accounts, data migration, and conversion projects.\nAt least 2 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and support.\nStrong understanding of SAP IS-U business processes and integration points.\nExperience with SAP Fiori apps, SAP BTP, and SAP Private Cloud Edition preferred.\nFamiliarity with cloud deployments (Azure or AWS).\nPrevious experience in the utility industry is highly desirable.\n\n KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES\n\nDeep understanding of Meter to Cash lifecycle, Business and Technical Master Data, Customer Interaction, Billing, Meter Reading, Disconnections/Reconnections, and Bill Print processes.\nProven experience in designing and implementing best practice SAP IS-U solutions.\nStrong experience with REST/API/OData services.\nFamiliarity with integrated SAP platforms like SAP C4C, FSM, Ariba, Concur, and Integration Suite is a plus.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to build trusted advisor relationships across IT and business stakeholders.\nStrong presentation, facilitation, and conflict resolution abilities.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
