The Machine Operator is to tend to the machine that automatically measures, folds, cuts, glues, and bundles printed roll stock into finished bags while adhering to company safety standards. This position works in our plant located at 1201 Westinghouse Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28273.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:\nFollow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately.\nEstablish, maintain, and prep machine: Keep printed roll stock staged at machine & thread and splice printed roll stock into the machine.\nCheck quality of bag: ensure uniform registration, folding, gluing, and sealing of bags.\nMake minor machine adjustments and assist with major machine adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.\nKeep machine running by loading new rolls and starting the machine.\nMaintain cleanliness of machine and work area.\nLoad kraft bundle wrap paper to machine and clear any jams as needed.\nAccurately fill out daily shift paperwork.\nRegular and predictable attendance.\nSKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:\nMust follow Safety/GMP/PPE guidelines\nAbility to work 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, including overtime and weekends\nTeam-oriented mindset\nProduction-focused\nTake direction from Shift Supervisor\nBasic mechanical knowledge\nRead and understand instructions and job information\nExcellent math and writing abilities\nDesire to accept additional responsibility and learn new tasks\nPHYSICAL ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:\nContinuous standing and walking with minimal sitting.\nAble to bend, twist, kneel, crawl, and lay down on floor during cleanup/startup of machine – involves frequent, constant, continuous, and repetitious motions.\nFrequent lifting and carrying of bundles that can weigh in excess of 35-lbs.\nFrequent, regular pushing and pulling of paper rolls in excess of 1,500-lbs.\nFrequent ladder and stair climbing.\nIf you would like to be part of a forward-thinking team with a family feel, culture of excellence, and customer-focused reliability, we want you to be a part of our team!\nOur organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
