Works closely with network engineering and technical operations staff to implement, operate and support security applications and platforms.\r\nDuties And ResponsibilitiesActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.\r\nImplements and supports security applications and controls that acquire and correlate security relevant system and application log data to alert and report on potential security events.\r\nMonitors security systems and alerts to ensure applications and security architecture is healthy. Identify and lead the response and mitigation activities for the system events.\r\nImplements, maintains and monitors threat intelligence data from various resources that is relevant to the networks and systems.\r\nImplements and supports the system logic to detect security threats.\r\nRecommends, designs and implements security systems and tools used by Network Security Operations and provides ongoing system support.\r\nEnsures compliance with security standards, policies and procedures.\r\nAdheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.\r\nBasic / Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience\r\nMinimum of 3 years IT/network Operations/Support\r\nAt least 3 years of Information security operations\r\nAdditional Job QualificationsAbility to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner\r\nStrong knowledge of network security technologies and tools, such as SIEM, IDP/IPS, Identity Management, TACACS, Network Anomaly detection, DDoS protection, forensics, and botnet detection.\r\nStrong Knowledge and understanding of networks, routing, and systems support.\r\nWorking knowledge of multiple operations systems such as Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 and various Linux based OS.\r\nMust understand what is required to prevent security exploits, how to detect security attacks and anomalies and technologies used.\r\nDemonstrated capabilities with the ability to work across functional boundaries, build consensus and drive results.\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and should have good presentation skills\r\nMust be a problem solver, able to balance competing priorities, have a strong process orientation and be able to manage through complexity and rapid change\r\nPreferred QualificationsPalo Alto Firewall Experience/linux environment (3 years minimum)\r\nPanorama (or similar tools)\r\nVMware – also must be familiar with HA configurations (High Availability)\r\nExperience in an operations support role for Security Applications or similar\r\nExperience with Arbor Networks products\r\nExperience with Servers and Application implementations & Configurations\r\nExperience with IPS/IDS products\r\nCurrent security certifications, such as TIASecurity+ CISSP, CEH, and SANS GIAC.
