The right individual for this role will be a motivated, energetic, collaborative and detail-oriented leader who takes utmost pride in their work, has a consistent track record of building performant and scalable SaaS applications and thrives by working in a high-growth environment using the latest software technologies.\nDay-in-the-Life:\nAs a Software Architect, a typical day may include the following…\nBuild working POCs and prototypes to prove your architectural designs through practice\nPartner with software engineers, QA, engineering managers, product management, and stakeholders to build the best applications in the industry\nEnsure software meets all requirements of performance, scalability, quality and security to produce world class products\nAnalyze existing solutions and evaluate opportunities for improvements of scalability, performance and future proofing of the infrastructure and code base.\nProvide architecture and technical guidance to the engineering teams\nEnsure consistency with architectural design and code standards\nResearch new technologies and stay ahead of the industry\nEvaluate emerging technologies and apply them (if applicable) in the Payscale Platforms\nInnovate. Don’t be complacent\nQualifications:\n6+ years software engineering experience\nYou can clearly articulate technical concepts to developers, managers, and less technical colleagues.\nExperience serving as the technical lead on multiple high impact and high visibility projects.\nExperience mentoring senior engineers on designing and implementing challenging projects.\nExperience in building scalable data solutions (eg: data ingestion pipelines, data pipelines, big data, data stream processing)\nExperience in building cloud native backend services\nHands on experience in migrating and designing applications for Azure AKS or Kubernetes clusters\nHands on experience integrating 3rd party vendor systems in internal applications\nExperience designing and implementing micro services architecture\nHands on experience designing and implementing Event Driven Architecture (e.g. Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Service Bus, GCP PubSub)\nExperience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and cloud native solutions.\nAgile/SCRUM experience.\nImplementation knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns\nExperience building RESTful Web Services\nExperience managing 3rd party vendor technical relationships is a plus\nHands on experience administering and configuring Azure AKS is a plus\nHands on experience with tuning SQL Server Queries is a plus\nCI/CD experience is a plus\nTools:\nBackend (.Net Core)\nDatabases (Microsoft SQL Server)\nUnit Testing Tools (Mockito, EasyMock, JUnit, TestNG)\nContainerization (Azure AKS, YAML, Docker, Tilt, Lens, Rancher Desktop)\nMicrosoft Azure Cloud\nFrontEnd Frameworks (React and/or Angular) is a plus\nTypescript and Javascript is a plus\nPython knowledge is a plus\nCompensation\nIn the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $155,400-$233,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 12%.
