{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"38b61ea98462ac7aa8bffc94","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/38b61ea98462ac7aa8bffc94","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/38b61ea98462ac7aa8bffc94","title":"Program Manager","description":"At ALS, we encourage you to dream big.\n\nWhen you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.\n\nProgram Manager\n\nImagine your future with us\n\nAt ALS, we encourage you to dream big.\n\nWhen you join ALS, you join a purpose and values-driven team that empowers you to innovate, create, and thrive.\n\nOur global team turns up each day with passion and commitment to do amazing things, always challenging our thinking to find ways to solve some of the world’s most complex problems for a safer, healthier world\n\nAbout the role\n\nThe Program Manager will be responsible for general project management tasks and business development activities.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAssist clients with appropriate method selection and offer technical guidance.\nPrepare project specific reports.\nRepresent ALS at all project meetings.\nActively participate in Business Development activities.\nIdentify and target potential new clients as well as work to regain clients who have departed the business.\nUtilize CRM (Hubspot) for tracking and reporting on Business Development activities.\nPrioritize and monitor projects.\nDay to day client communication.\nCoordinate project sampling duties.\nOther duties as assigned.\nFollow all company operating procedures, standards, policies, and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site.\nPlay an active role in the ALS safety program by correcting or reporting unsafe acts and conditions that are observed during the day-to-day operations to create a zero-injury work environment.\nParticipate in and support HSE initiatives, as required by ALS leadership.\nUnderstand and use HSE precautions (such as but not limited to fume hoods and PPE) while working with chemicals and samples of unknown hazards.\nEnsure the health and safety of staff, contractors, and/or visitors by providing appropriate leadership, due diligence, resources, training, and enforcement for all individuals onsite.\nMonitor and enforce the health, safety and environment policies, procedures and ensure compliance with the relevant regulations.\nActively promote awareness of these policies, procedures, and regulations amongst company personnel.\nActively support and participate in all OHS initiatives. Lead by example.\nReport all personal injuries and incidents and assist with investigations as per company policy.\nEnsure the company sites adhere to all environmental requirements as determined by government legislation, regulation, and company policy.\n\nAbout you\n\nBachelor’s degree is preferred.\n5+ years of laboratory experience is preferred.\n0–5 years of project management experience is preferred.\n1-5 years of business development experience is preferred.\nProficient verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.\nMust be able to initiate corrective action without prompting and assist co-workers whenever necessary to meet deadlines.\nMust be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn-around times.\nMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to use (or learn to use) Laboratory Information Management System.\nAdheres to safety policies and practices.\n\nWorking conditions\n\nMust be able to work on computer while sitting for up to 8 hours per day.\nMust be able to travel to client sites for business development meetings\n\nWorking at ALS\n\nOur people are our most valuable asset and drive our success at ALS.\n\nWe are a diverse community of dedicated professionals united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
