Job Description Position: SorterPay Rate: $18.61 /hourlyLocation: Lodi, CASchedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pmMandatory overtime on Saturdays as requiredPosition SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Sorter to support daily production operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for sorting, inspecting, stacking, and packaging products while assisting machine operators and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPackage various types of products according to company standardsInspect products and equipment for defects, contamination, and quality concernsHand-stack boards, stakes, and other materials and transfer them to designated inventory areasAssist machine operators with production activities as neededMonitor product quality and identify defects or non-conforming materialsCommunicate production issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptlyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentOperate forklifts and other equipment as required and authorizedParticipate in safety meetings and follow all company safety policies and proceduresReport hazardous conditions and support corrective actions when neededSupport production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency standardsPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managementQualificationsPrevious manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience preferredAbility to work safely in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsAbility to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a teamReliable attendance and punctuality requiredForklift experience is a plusAbility to lift, stack, move, and handle materials throughout the shiftStrong communication and problem-solving skillsWork EnvironmentManufacturing and production facility environmentFrequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movementsExposure to machinery, noise, dust, and changing temperaturesOvertime and Saturday work may be required based on production needsCompany Description After 44 years of service and multiple locations throughout the Central Valley, Hedy Holmes Staffing Services has established itself as an innovative staffing agency that puts a premium on matching top talent with top employers.
