If you’re ready to make an impact, you’re in the right place.Job DetailsJob Title: Technical Sales Engineer Location: Kansas City Area (Hybrid/Field-Based)About the Role: We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support industrial automation and manufacturing clients across the Kansas City region. This role combines engineering knowledge with customer relationship management and technical solution selling. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturers, OEMs, system integrators, and industrial clients to recommend automation solutions that align with operational and process requirements.Key Responsibilities:Develop and grow new customer accounts through networking, prospecting, and market engagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, engineering teams, OEMs, utilities, and system integratorsProvide technical consultations and recommend suitable automation hardware and software solutionsPrepare quotations, assist with order management, and support technical documentation requirementsConduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer applicationsTravel within the assigned territory to support customer engagement and account developmentStay updated on industrial automation technologies, controls systems, and emerging industry trendsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical disciplineExperience working with industrial automation products such as PLCs, VFDs, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networking, motion control, or industrial softwareExposure to manufacturing, process automation, or controls engineering environmentsStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customersAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and support multiple customer engagements effectivelyPrior technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering experience is preferredStaffworxs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
