The helper is responsible for assisting the mechanic and other high-level team members.\n\n*Job Duties & Responsibilities*\n\n· Demonstrates knowledge of trade materials and including names and applications; demonstrates competence handling materials. For example, wire up insulation, batt insulation, rigid insulation, edge of slab, sprayed insulation, and fireproofing.\n\n· Can properly operate most common trade tools: manual caulking guns, battery operated cordless caulking guns, airless spray equipment, etc.\n\n· Accurately takes and gives measurements.\n\n· Ability to keep up with spray machine when installing SFRM and sprayed insulation.\n\n· Knows how to properly prepare and protect work area when installing SFRM and sprayed insulation.\n\n· Proficiently weighs materials at pump and nozzle to verify product density.\n\n· Basic understanding of equipment needed for SFRM and sprayed insulation.\n\n· Basic understanding of mixing materials\n\n· Introduction to construction drawings\n\n*Job Qualifications*\n\n· Experience in construction industry and/or environment a plus.\n\n· Basic knowledge of construction math (math).\n\n· Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.\n\n· Ability to learn and operate power tools, hand tools and other equipment.\n\n· Communicates and works well with others.\n\n· Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\n\n*Working conditions*\n\n· Indoor and outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions and temperatures such as inclement weather, heat, humidity, and cold.\n\n· Exposure to vibrations from construction equipment and typical construction noise that may exceed normal decibel levels.\n\n*Physical requirements*\n\n· Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching.\n\n· Good manual dexterity to perform precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.\n\n· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds in a regular basis.
