Job Description
Innovative Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure services, along with experience or interest in supporting modern AI platforms such as Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI Search to enable intelligent, data-driven applications.This position is in Mitchell, SD. Remote work is not available for this position.When you are part of the Innovative team as a DevOps Engineer, you will:Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including supporting deployment workflows for AI-powered applicationsCollaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to automate and streamline deployment processes for both traditional and AI-driven solutionsManage and optimize Azure infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, scalability, and securitySupport AI-enabled application architectures, including retrieval-based solutions, model-driven workflows, and platforms such as Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI SearchDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts, with a preference for Bicep, to provision and manage Azure resources and AI service integrationsMonitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and security issues across both standard and AI-enabled environmentsProvide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications, infrastructure, and AI servicesStay updated with the latest industry trends in Azure, DevOps, and AI technologies (including Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI Search) to continuously improve our processes and solutionsThese are skills that we are looking for in our ideal candidate:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fieldStrong proficiency in C#Effective communication and collaboration skillsProven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or similar roleStrong proficiency with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline creation and managementExtensive hands-on experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, etc.)Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a preference for BicepSolid understanding of version control systems, particularly GitStrong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issuesExperience supporting or deploying AI-enabled applications within Azure environmentsFamiliarity with Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry) and Azure AI Search concepts and their role in modern AI-powered solutionsAzure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plusThese skills would be helpful but are not required:Telecommunications industry experienceUnderstanding of Microsoft SQL Server and relational databasesFamiliarity with monitoring tools and practices (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights)Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Exposure to RAG architectures or AI-driven data retrieval patternsExperience working with Azure AI Search (indexing, querying, or integration with applications)Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry or similar AI development platformsIf you are not excited to work for Innovative Systems yet, we want to tell you a little more about whatwe can offer to the right candidate:Competitive wagesGenerous Paid time off10 paid holidays401(k) matchingCompany paid family Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance planCompany contributions to an HSA (Health Savings Account) planCompany paid employee Dental InsuranceCompany paid employee Vision InsuranceCompany paid Life InsuranceCompany paid Short- & Long-Term Disability InsuranceIf you are passionate about building scalable cloud platforms and enabling the next generation of AI-powered applications, we encourage you to apply.
