This includes preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, designing and reviewing controls, conducting analysis to support decision-making, and managing the payroll, AP, treasury, and close processes. The OpEx Controller will also be responsible for designing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nDevelop and implement processes to monitor and control operational expenses\n\nLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow in compliance with GAAP\n\nProvide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders\n\nConduct in-depth variance analysis to understand and explain differences between actual and budgeted financial results, and provide recommendations for improvement\n\nCollaborate with other departments to support the overall financial health of the organization, and provide financial analysis and guidance to support decision-making\n\nIdentify, implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations\n\nManage and identify risks within the internal control environment and proactively improve processes and controls to respond to risks\n\nMonitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations\n\nEnsure compliance with local, state and federal financial regulations\n\nEvaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes\n\nManage a team of accounting professionals and provide guidance, training, and support as needed\n\nLead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth\n\nAssist with special projects as needed, such as due diligence for potential acquisitions or implementing new accounting standards\n\nCoordinate and manage external and internal audits, liaising with auditors to provide necessary information\n\nImplement recommendations from auditors to enhance financial processes and controls\n\nStay up-to-date with developments in the accounting and finance industry, and provide guidance on new accounting standards and best practices\n\nWho You Are\n\nBachelor's degree in accounting or finance\n\nAt least 10 years of experience in accounting\n\nBig 4 public accounting experience\n\nProven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role\n\nMinimum 2 years of team management experience\n\nStrong knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP\n\nActive CPA license preferred\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on controls and process-improvement\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\nSelf starter with “Can-do” attitude and strong connection to team success\n\nProficiency in financial reporting software, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite\n\nEven Better If You Have…\n\nHave Netsuite or ADP accounting system experience\n\nPrior experience in fast moving/innovative SaaS technology environment\n\nAuthorization to Work in the U.S.\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
