{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"3861bcc35f87b328691768a9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3861bcc35f87b328691768a9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/3861bcc35f87b328691768a9","title":"ProFee Anesthesia Coder","description":"Professional Anesthesia Coder\nContract Length: 3–6 months with potential to convert\nLocation: Remote\nOverview\nOur healthcare client is seeking an experienced Professional Anesthesia Coder to support physician revenue cycle operations during a large-scale Revenue Cycle transformation initiative.\nThis role will provide specialty coding expertise for anesthesia services within a centralized Professional Revenue Cycle model focused on improving standardization, efficiency, and cross-functional support.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong anesthesia coding experience, advanced knowledge of Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding, pain management coding, and hands-on experience working within Epic Professional Billing.\nThis is a temporary contract opportunity with potential for long-term employment based on performance, organizational needs, and future-state staffing requirements.\nResponsibilities\nPerform professional coding for anesthesia and related physician services.\nReview clinical documentation to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes.\nApply appropriate coding guidelines for anesthesia procedures, pain management services, and evaluation & management visits.\nReview operative notes, procedure documentation, and provider documentation for coding accuracy.\nAssign anesthesia modifiers and ensure proper coding compliance.\nValidate documentation supports billed services.\nIdentify documentation gaps and coding opportunities.\nSupport specialty coding workflows within a Professional Revenue Cycle pod structure.\nProvide cross-coverage support for related specialties as needed.\nMaintain productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.\nCollaborate with coding leadership, providers, and revenue cycle teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nCPC certification required.\nEpic Experience\nProfessional anesthesia coding experience required.\nStrong experience with physician/professional fee coding.\nExperience coding Evaluation & Management (E/M) services required.\nExperience coding pain management services required.\nStrong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier usage.\nAbility to interpret complex medical documentation.\nExperience working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.\nRequired Specialty Experience\nAnesthesia Coding:\nAnesthesia CPT coding\nBase units and time reporting\nAnesthesia modifiers\nSurgical anesthesia services\nProcedure-based coding workflows\nE/M Coding:\nOffice and outpatient E/M services\nEstablished and new patient visits\nDocumentation-based code selection\nMedical decision-making requirements\nTime-based coding guidelines\nPain Management Coding:\nInjection procedures\nNerve blocks\nEpidural procedures\nFluoroscopy-guided procedures\nChronic pain management services\nInterventional pain procedures\nPay: $27.00 -
