Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.\nAs a Software Engineer in the Scientific Computing team, you will build the computational solvers and infrastructure that enable our structural analysts and loads engineers to push the boundaries of rocket engine design.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDevelop, develop, and maintain solvers and infrastructure supporting loads and structural analysis workflows.\nGather project requirements from engineering teams.\nPlan roadmaps for development projects and communicate progress to stakeholders.\nEstablish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and documentation for all delivered tools.\nCreate APIs for seamless integration with commercial and internal analysis products.\nImplement numerical methods for structural dynamics, fatigue analysis, and loads prediction.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.\n5+ years of professional experience developing software for analysis.\n3+ years of experience working with structural analysis techniques (loads, dynamics, FEM, or fatigue).\nStrong proficiency in Python for scientific computing.\nExperience with at least one compiled language used for scientific computing, such as Fortran, C, C++, or Rust.\nDemonstrated ability to gather requirements and deliver technically complex solutions.\nAbility to work independently while contributing to team objectives.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nM.S. or Ph.D. in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.\n2+ years of experience working with FEM software (Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Optistruct, or NASGRO, etc.).\nHistory of working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.\nExperience developing or modifying FEM solvers.\nFamiliarity with rocket engines and structural analysis in challenging environments.\nExperience designing and deploying cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nFamiliarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) or HPC schedulers (SLURM, PBS).\nWeb application development experience (React or Angular frameworks).\nExperience with SQL and data engineering.\nFamiliarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.\nExperience with generative AI, LLMs, or other AI-assisted workflow acceleration.\nFamiliarity with version control (Git, SVN) and collaborative development workflows.\nExperience working in an agile environment.\n\nCompensation Range for:\nCO applicants is $150,931.00 - $211,303.05 WA applicants is $164,652.00 - $230,512.80\nOther site ranges may differ\nCulture Statement\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
