The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and manufacturing best practices to ensure high-quality production. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to improve machining efficiency and accuracy, utilizing advanced skills in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and precision measurement instruments.\nDuties\nDevelop and write CNC programs for various machining centers including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment using CAM programming software.\nInterpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing of parts.\nUtilize CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA to design and modify parts and tooling.\nApply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict tolerances and specifications.\nSet up machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.\nOptimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.\nTroubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming errors, or machine performance.\nMaintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements.\nCollaborate with engineering teams on process improvements using schematic diagrams and mechanical knowledge.\nACM Software implementation.\nQualifications\nProven experience with CNC programming on CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and EDM equipment.\nProficiency in CAD/CAM software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, and other relevant tools.\nStrong understanding of GD&T standards, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.\nKnowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.\nMechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, geometry calculations, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).\nExperience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.\nAbility to read schematics and schematics diagrams related to manufacturing processes.\nExcellent math skills with a focus on geometry and measurements accuracy.
