This role involves performing detailed analyses and preparing comprehensive reports to ensure that programs are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. The analyst will also lead the preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work and perform\nfinancial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.\n\nAdditionally, the analyst ensures adequate funding is available by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and directing the preparation of\ncontractual changes into control systems. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the planning and scheduling efforts for complex programs and projects.\nPerform detailed analyses and prepare comprehensive reports to ensure that programs are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.\nLead the preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work.\nPerform financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.\nEnsure adequate funding is available by maintaining accurate records of expenditures.\nDirect the preparation of contractual changes into control systems.\nStay aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.\nLead and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience).\nTypically 5+ years of related experience.\nExperience with management consulting, data analytics, finance, or other quantitative or analytical roles in business, program, or operations management.\nExperience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Schedule\nManagement, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts, or Procurement Financial Analysis.\nExperience collecting data from several sources, performing analysis, and communicating data.\nExperience with advanced features in Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, Vlookups, etc.).\nStrong business analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools.\nKnowledge of DoD, government contracting, and/or public auditing policies, labor rate composition.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.\nKnowledge of EVM metrics (CPI, SPI, CV, SV, BAC, EAC, VAC, TCPI)\nProficiency with EVM tools and software (Deltek Cobra, MS Project).\nExperience with cost estimation and forecasting techniques\nExperience in variance analysis and communication (Root Cause, Impact, Corrective Action).\nExperience with government contracts (particularly defense/aerospace).\nFamiliarity with ANSI/EIA-748 EVMS Guidelines.\nExperience with Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).\nExperience with Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) deliverable.\nExperience with Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) deliverable.\nAdvanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.\nCertification: PMP, CPA, or CFA.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.\nProven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects or programs.\nStrong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior management.\nFamiliarity with project management methodologies and tools.\nExperience in a leadership role within a finance or program management team.\nAbility to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.\n\nCompensation:\nPay Range:\n$116,697.00 - $160,457.25\nYour actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nTo conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.\nElevate Your Career\nAt Sierra Space, we are committed to your personal and professional development.
