To learn more about our exciting organization, please visit us at www.unissant.com.\n\nJob Description:\nWe are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (TS/SCI with Polygraph Required) to join our embedded team at the client site in Northern Virginia to support modernization initiatives.\n\nThe ideal candidate excels in DevSecOps automation, is proficient in GitLab, Jira/Confluence, GitLab CI pipelines, Kubernetes, Harness, ArgoCD, Docker, Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana and is committed to securing and streamlining software delivery and infrastructure.\n\nQualified applicants will be subject to security validation / security clearance cross-over and must meet minimum qualifications for SCI access to classified information.\n\n*This position is contingent upon contract award.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nThis is a client-facing position working in a hybrid low-side / high-side environment, subject to the requirements established by the client.\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Harness, enabling secure, efficient software delivery.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of DevSecOps principles, continuous integration, security automation, and compliance enforcement in federal or secure environments.\n\nProficiency with version control (Git), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and integrating security controls into delivery pipelines.\n\nDesign and manage GitOps pipelines leveraging ArgoCD to ensure consistent, auditable, and declarative infrastructure and application deployments.\n\nIntegrate security best practices into all phases of the DevOps lifecycle, performing automated security testing and compliance checks.\n\nCollaborate with software developers, data scientists, and system engineers to enforce DevSecOps standards, streamline deployment, and remediate vulnerabilities.\n\nEnsure the operational resiliency, scalability, and maintainability of cloud-based or hybrid environments supporting modernization goals.\n\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance, security, and health of infrastructure and deployment pipelines.\n\nMaintain documentation, provide training, and promote best practices among multidisciplinary teams. Design, build and maintain CI/CD, testing, and operations infrastructure.\n\nDevelop custom tools and automation through programming and scripting.\n\nPro-actively identify areas to drive automation across platforms.\n\nDevelop innovative strategies, processes, automation, fail-over experience.\n\nDesign and setup of new large cloud clusters.\n\nProvide support to implement Change/Service Requests per application needs.\n\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, primarily using Terraform.\n\nWork Experience and Job Skills:\nRequired:\n\n7-10 years of experience in related fields.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes, containerization and cloud computing.\n\nCI/CD automation using GitLab, Jenkins/Harness/ArgoCD Continuous Delivery (CD) and GitOps workflows deploying to Kubernetes.\n\nPrefer Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform for cloud and hybrid infrastructure provisioning.\n\nExperience managing AWS services like EC2, ECS, ECR, EKS, NLB, ALB, RDS, S3, Kafka, Cloud monitoring services, VPC and other network layers.\n\nExperience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Dynatrace, Elasticsearch.\n\nExperience in migration of applications from on premises to cloud.\n\nKnowledge of OO programming and concepts (Java, C++, C#, Python).\n\nExperience in configuration management technologies such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible.\n\nExperience with AWS or another cloud PaaS provider.\n\nSolid understanding of configuration, deployment, management and maintenance of large cloud-hosted systems; including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and disaster recovery.\n\nProficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines.\n\nExperience with Containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker etc.\n\nGood understanding of cloud security and best practices.\n\nPreferred:\n\nPrior experience supporting federal government agencies.\n\nFamiliarity with system modernization, supply chain risk analysis, or related domains.\n\nKnowledge of common cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Helm, and automated monitoring frameworks.\n\nSecurity Clearance:\n\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.\n\nMaster's degree or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred.
