This role would involve the development of new, and refinement of existing, forecasting models that are used to optimize the plant. Many of these models will require novel first principles sub-models for feature engineering, and strong statistical skills are necessary to isolate model improvements and effects.\n\nPython skills are required for the development and deployment of the model (lower level languages may also be acceptable). Additionally, this role may also include the development of future technical roadmaps and associated technical strategies, as well as engagement in academic outreach initiatives.\nRole and Responsibilities\nHere’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:\nDevelopment of (and improvement of existing) machine learning models for forecasting and optimization of line performance.\nDevelopment of first principles stochastic models for feature engineering.\nDevelopment of predictive heuristic KPIs to drive optimization strategies.\nComparative Statistical Analysis of model performance.\nTechnical roadmap planning.\nSkills and Qualifications\nHere's what you'll need:\nDegrees: Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Computer Science (only with significant math and statistics exposure).\nMasters or above preferred, others may be considered given significant experience.\nPrevious leadership experience or technical roadmap management preferred but not required.\nMachine Learning.\nStatistics.\nStochastic Systems.\nGraph Theory.\nExposure to mixed integer programming is a plus.\nThe current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.\nTotal Rewards\nAt Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
