Known for its inspiring space and impactful work, Seliger Studio consistently delivers high-quality photography and video projects in collaboration with its clients.Role DescriptionThis is an on-site full time role for a Production Bookkeeping Assistant, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Possibility of the role turning into a permanent full time position based on performance and other business factors. The Bookkeeping Assistant will be responsible for supporting financial and accounting functions, including managing and organizing financial records, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, handling bookkeeping tasks, and utilizing accounting software. The position will require collaboration with various team members to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. You will work closely with our Finance Director and collaborate with the production team on major campaigns for fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment clients such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Disney, HBO, and more.Responsibilities Assist with daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable.Contribute to the receivable process by tracking receivables and handling basic collections.Work closely with production to wrap jobs within 5 business days from our shoot dates. Assist with preparation and processing of invoices.Data entry in accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus)Support month-end and quarterly closing procedures.Assist in preparation of P&L reports, and summaries for management.Work with internal staff to resolve billing or payment inquiries.Enter Amex transactions daily & reconcile all corporate credit cards monthly.Perform general office administrative and clerical duties as needed.Manage petty cash transactions & check depositsAssist with releasing payroll for freelancers on shoot days.Assist with the gathering of insurance certificates from subcontractors and vendors. Qualifications Associate’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.2 to 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (entry-level experience acceptable).Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel/Office Suite.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and people skills.Creative problem solving abilitiesIntegrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of confidentiality.Production & photo/creative studio experience preferred. Compensation And Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.Closed on major holidays in addition to being closed the last week of the yearPaid Time OffHealth & Dental InsuranceCommuter benefitsOpportunities for professional growth and development.Email your resume & cover letter to Danilo@seligerstudio.com for considerations.
