This position is located at our manufacturing plant in Temple, Tx. Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operational excellence.\n\n Join our team as a Material Handler in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will safely and efficiently manufacture products to hit daily goals and meet customer specifications. This role requires excellent daily communication with coworkers and management to keep operations running smoothly.\n\nPosition Description:\n\nAssemble mattresses according to specific type and configuration styles.\nLift 35 to 90 lbs of foam or mattresses.\nStand comfortably for the duration of the entire work shift.\nRead a tape measure accurately to ensure precise product sizing.\nMaintain quality standards exactly as prescribed by management.\nManage waste by picking up trash and discarding defective products.\n\nRead, write, and speak English to fully understand the labeling process.\n\nPerform other tasks and duties as assigned by management.\n\nSkills / Requirements:\n\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nStrong communication skills to read, write, and completely understand English instructions and labeling processes.\nMeasurement proficiency to accurately read and interpret a basic tape measure.\n\nMust be able to read and completely understand the labeling process and read/write English.\n\nMust be able to shift and/or lift foam or mattresses & boxes that weigh between 40 to 95 lbs each!\n\nKeep work areas neat, orderly, and safe at all times.\n\nImportant Notes\n\nCarpenter Co. is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other legally protected characteristic.\n\nCarpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants who receive and accept a written offer of employment.\n\nCarpenter Co. offers a comprehensive affordable benefits package including excellent health insurance, generous profit-sharing plan, and much more.
