Based in our dynamic technology environment and leveraging platforms such as Azure, Synapse, and SQL, you will lead the design, modeling, integration, and governance of enterprise data solutions. If you are passionate about shaping how organizations use, store, and analyze data, and love guiding technology choices and frameworks, this is your chance to drive real impact.\nThis is a full-time on-site role located in Ashburn, VA.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nArchitect and design scalable, high-availability data platforms: warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses within Azure and related technologies.\nLead enterprise data modeling efforts, establishing standards and frameworks for structured and unstructured data.\nDefine and enforce data governance policies—ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across all platforms.\nStrategically guide technology choices for data storage, analytics, and integration, aligning solutions with business goals.\nOversee integration of data sources, ETL pipelines, and analytic workflows, partnering with stakeholders to optimize data accessibility and utility.\nDevelop and maintain robust data architecture documentation, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.\nSet best practices for data management, metadata, and master data strategies.\nCollaborate with development, analytics, and business teams to ensure architectural integrity and seamless solution delivery.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to the data architecture roadmap.\nQualifications & Skills\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in database or data architecture roles.\nDeep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse.\nAdvanced proficiency in data modeling, OLAP, ETL frameworks, and large-scale data integration.\nPractical knowledge of database languages (SQL, R, Python) and familiarity with semi-structured file formats.\nExperience designing data lakes/lakehouses and strategic data infrastructure.\nStrong understanding of analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization tools.\nKnowledge of RedPoint Data Management Platform is highly desirable.\nAzure data or infrastructure certifications are a bonus.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nOpportunities\nPlay a key strategic role in shaping the company's data strategy and technology roadmap.\nLead enterprise-wide initiatives and leave your mark on advanced data solutions.\nEngage with the latest cloud and analytics technologies, driving innovation and digital transformation.\nGrow into leadership and architecture roles as the data team expands.\nCompany Culture\nAt HSP, we value innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
