Senior AccountantAbout the Company Our client is a fast-growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) company known for its innovative products and strong market presence. With continued expansion, they are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team to support key financial operations and drive process improvements.Position Overview The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong general ledger experience who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsSupport inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold (COGS) and variance analysisPartner with operations and supply chain teams on inventory and costing insightsAssist in preparation of financial statements and management reportingSupport external audits and ensure compliance with GAAPIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencyAssist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance4+ years of accounting experience (CPG, manufacturing, or inventory-heavy environment preferred)Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processesExperience with inventory accounting and COGSAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
