You will bring together information from multiple source systems, improve data quality and consistency, and create reusable data products that support applications, automated workflows, integrations, dashboards, analytics, and decision-making.\n\nWe welcome candidates from data engineering, database development, ETL/ELT development, analytics engineering, data architecture, and business-intelligence backgrounds. Deep experience with one modern data stack is more important than experience with every technology listed.\n\nAs the Data Developer, you will\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain data models, schemas, pipelines, transformations, and reusable data services.\nIngest and integrate structured and unstructured information from databases, files, APIs, applications, and authoritative source systems.\nImplement data validation, cleansing, normalization, mapping, reconciliation, lineage, metadata, and quality controls.\nDevelop SQL, ETL/ELT processes, data flows, interfaces, and semantic models that support operational applications, reporting, and analytics.\nCollaborate with mission stakeholders, architects, analysts, developers, integration teams, dashboard teams, testers, platform administrators, and security personnel.\nDocument source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, data architecture, technical decisions, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidance.\nSupport deployment, monitoring, incident analysis, performance tuning, defect resolution, and continuous improvement.\nMinimum Qualifications and Experience\nActive DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.\nCurrent DoD 8140/8570-compliant baseline certification appropriate to the assigned position, such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, or another approved credential.\nU.S. citizenship.\nThree or more years of relevant experience in data engineering, database development, ETL/ELT development, analytics engineering, data architecture, business intelligence, or a related discipline; equivalent education, training, certifications, and experience will be considered.\nHands-on experience with SQL and at least one database, data platform, integration tool, or data-pipeline technology.\nWorking knowledge of data modeling, transformation, integration, validation, security, performance, and production support concepts.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting federal or DoD customers, government data, and Agile or DevSecOps delivery teams.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Power BI, OneLake, data lakes, data warehouses, REST APIs, Python, Spark, or comparable technologies.\nFamiliarity with data governance, master and reference data, semantic models, role-based access, data lineage, and cloud or hybrid data platforms.\nExperience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting production data pipelines or services.\n\nOur Benefits\n\nGCyber is committed to the well-being and development of every employee.
