Occupational Therapist

Job DescriptionNATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:Will work as part of an inpatient rehab team on diagnosis specific units. Performs initial evaluation and treatment of patients; Responsible to provide patient care for inpatient as well as outpatient coverage if the need arises; Assist Lead Therapist with mentoring and or orientation of new or newly rotated staff; participate in OT student programming; other duties as assigned.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist in New York AND have one year of post licensure occupational therapy experience.Willing to accept new graduates.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:1-2 years of experience with neuro and non neuro patient care. Experience with Meditech documentation as well as Medilinks/Wellsky. Knowledge of inpatient Medicare guidelines for documentation.
