On a task-by-task basis, the Project Surveyor leads survey analysts and survey technicians and coordinates with survey subconsultants to deliver assigned work. Primary responsibilities include CAD drafting; survey research and analysis; map, base map, and exhibit preparation; legal description drafting; development of survey scopes and proposal inputs; support Willdan's engineering design teams and other departments with survey-related requests; assist Willdan's Contract City Surveyors with map and document plan checks; and overall internal project workflow management.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nLead survey analysts and survey technicians on assigned tasks.\r\nCoordinate survey subconsultants.\r\nPrepare survey base maps, boundary/topographic surveys, design surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys.\r\nPerform CAD drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.\r\nConduct survey research and analysis, including record maps and documents, assessor's maps, title reports, and other survey and historical documents.\r\nDraft legal descriptions and plats.\r\nProvide survey support to design engineering teams and other departments.\r\nAssist with survey proposals by developing scopes and obtaining subconsultant estimates.\r\nPerform quality control checks on CAD files, survey data, and deliverables.\r\nAssist Contract City Surveyors with map and document plan checks.\r\nMaintain organized digital project files, logs, and workflow documentation.\r\nJob Requirements/Qualifications:\r\nCoordinate survey subconsultants.\r\nBachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or equivalent experience.\r\nMinimum of 3-5 years survey office experience, including CAD, survey research, and survey mapping.\r\nLand Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certification, or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (preferred).\r\nProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam (preferred).\r\nStrong analytical, geometric computation, and technical writing skills.\r\nAbility to manage task assignments independently while working under licensed supervision.\r\nEffective communication skills with internal teams and subconsultant.\r\nEEO Non-Discrimination and ADA Reasonable Accommodation Statement Willdan is an equal opportunity employer.
