Technical Services Representative

Job Description JOB TITLE:Technical Service RepresentativeREPORTS TO:ManagementOVERALL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for installing and servicing all equipment, training dealers and end users on the operation and maintenance of equipment domestically and internationally, and managing technical service calls and customer equipment and consumable issues. The Technical Service Representative will provide high-quality technical support while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.JOB PREREQUISITES:High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Service, preferably in the printing/packaging industryMust possess excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilitiesMust be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as requiredMust possess valid travel documents, including a valid passport, and be eligible for international travelCandidate must have a clean driving record with no DWI/DUI offensesSKILLS:Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read engineering drawings and electrical schematicsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to teach and train customers effectivelySolid organizational skills, including completion of service and travel reports in a timely mannerAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesSPECIFIC DUTIES:Install equipment and train dealers, OEMs, and end users on proper operation and maintenance procedures.Respond to trouble calls and provide technical support to customers in a timely and professional manner.Assist manufacturing with assembly and testing of all products.Interface with Engineering to evaluate newly designed products and parts by working with designated test sites.Remain informed of engineering changes and new developments and provide recommendations for product and process improvements.Assist Sales and Marketing teams with technical support as needed.Provide technical support and operate equipment at trade shows and customer demonstrations when requested.Assist in the development of service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and other technical or marketing materials.Adhere to company travel policies and complete expense reports accurately and promptly.Conduct all business interactions and phone communications in a professional manner consistent with company standards and guidelines.Accept and complete additional assignments and projects as directed by management.Travel domestically and internationally to customer locations, trade shows, training sessions, and company facilities as required.Company Description Proudly made in the USA, Kompac products are manufactured & distributed from our headquarters in Somerville, NJ.Our extensive line of coating products includes: offline UV/aqueous coating equipment, IR dryers, stackers, feeders, solution vacuum, UV/aqueous coatings & environmentally friendly cleaners.
