US Citizenship Required. 100% onsite Company is seeking Senior DSP Systems Engineers to join the Space and Launch Engineering team in El Segundo, California, to design and develop state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems. Project assignments typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test. You will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.\nPosition Responsibilities Design and develop next generation RF, and digital satellite communication systems.\nDevelop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.\nAllocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads.\nDevelop performance and link budgets.\nConduct performance analysis of signal processing models.\nExecute payload subsystem trade studies to improve performance cost and/or schedule.\nDevelop prototype demonstrations on communication subsystem testbeds.\nPlan unit-level integration and performance simulations.\nSupport ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification.\nSupport hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.\n6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.\nRequirements\nWhat you'll need Required Skills:\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.\n6+ years of experience with signal processing or image processing.\n10+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering.\nPreferred Skills:\nMaster’s degree in or similar degree in signal processing or algorithm development focus\nDevelopment of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs\nDigital Signal Processing based classes, projects or work experience\nSimulink experience in work or school. Python, C++, or other languages acceptable\nSubstantive involvement and/or leadership in group-oriented project work\nVerification planning and principles, while applying their theoretical knowledge in resolving real world problems\nTypically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications\nBachelor's degree with 14 or more years' experience, Master's degreee with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience.
