Certified Electrician- Second Shift
We're searching for a Certified Electrician, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The electrician will ensure all work complies with state electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstalls, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with state regulations and safety codesInspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codesReads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systemsPlans the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codesDiagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemConnects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other componentsTests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the systemSupervises and trains apprentices and other less experienced staffEnsures all installations and repairs are completed on time and within budgetProvides excellent customer service and addresses client inquiries and concernsParticipates in the required safety program and works in a safe mannerAdditional duties assigned by the managerSkills & RequirementsEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentValid state electrician's licenseProven experience as an electricianRequired Qualifications/SkillsIn-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipmentFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state electrical codesStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsAbility to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematicsExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportation
