Ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards, as well as collaborating with other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices.\n\nLocation: 1969 Victory Dr, Columbus, GA 31901 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant)\n\nWork Arrangements: 100% on-site. Monday – Friday, 6am-4pm Flexibility required. Willingness to work off shift (including nights, weekends, and/or holidays) and flow to the work as needed.\n\nIn this Role You Will:\n\nDevelop technical mastery of the core production processes to deliver critical results\n\nIdentify process improvements while interfacing with department managers and technicians to deliver effective initiatives\n\nPartner with technicians on corrective actions, implementations, and own and sustain results\n\nModel key safety and quality expectations related to plant operations and measure impact on process\n\nImplement Lean Manufacturing concepts in support of our High-Performance Organization (HPO) culture\n\nLeverage effective continuous improvement and problem-solving tools (why-why, fishbone, failure analysis, etc.) to address root cause\n\nSupport startups for new product initiatives and capital projects\n\nLead material and packaging improvements which could include managing material changes, qualifying alternate materials, delivering material cost savings, or participating in new product launches\n\nCollect, analyze, and utilize data to design and execute improvements\n\nImprove performance and drive loss optimization\n\nLeverage your engineering expertise to make a meaningful impact on the process and packaging systems within our manufacturing facilities.\n\nAnalyze operations to improve throughput and yield, while building the capabilities of the plant teams.\n\nContinue to grow your skill sets through cross functional collaboration and direct floor exposure in our manufacturing plants.\n\nLaunch your career into future roles across Operations and Supply Chain by building a strong foundation in how our products are made and how our work system functions.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering\n\nProblem solving and troubleshooting experience to identify root cause\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\n\nPossess a “learner mindset” – always striving to learn more\n\nWillingness to work off shift hours and flow to the work as needed\n\nAdditional Skills and Experience:\n\nEngineering focused experience, this could include internship and/or co‑op experience\n\nStrong analytical skills to drive statistically based decision making\n\nProject management experience\n\nWillingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests (travel may include domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)\n\nWork Environment:\nThis job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nRegularly required to talk and hear.\n\nFrequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.\n\nOccasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.\n\nAble to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.\n\nMay push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
