As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects in the healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to take on new challenges, grow your career, and drive impact in alignment with our strategic objectives and Mazzetti’s mission of bending the climate curve™.You will be part of Mazzetti’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Consulting Engineering Practice- a multidisciplinary team dedicated to designing high-performance, resilient, and sustainable solutions for the built environment. With a strong emphasis on healthcare and infrastructure projects, our practice blends technical rigor with a collaborative, client-centered approach to deliver exceptional, future-ready outcomes.Core ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of electrical systems for various MEP projects in alignment with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.Oversee the technical work of project teams and provide guidance to staff.Collaborate on electrical designs and coordinate work within the Mazzetti team to successfully deliver projects from conception to execution.Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle including participating in client meetings, presenting technical proposals and progress reports, and addressing technical concerns or inquiriesWork Location: This is a hybrid position involving working from home, client site visits, and being present in our Portland, Oregon office once a week.Travel Requirements: This position requires local travel of 5% or less to support active projects and pursuits.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience)10+ years of experience in building electrical systems design Professional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong project management experience, with the ability to drive projects from conception to completionExperience meeting and consulting with clients to drive successful project outcomesStrong leadership abilities with the capacity to oversee the technical work of other team members.Technical ExpertiseComprehensive MEP design system knowledge and integrationStrong knowledge of building codes and regulations governing electrical designsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesPreferredHealthcare and hospital design experience strongly preferredProficiency in electrical design software such as Revit and/or AutoCADPMP CertificationLEED AccreditationWhat We OfferAt Mazzetti, we believe in supporting our employees with competitive compensation and a dynamic benefits package.Compensation: The typical salary range for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Portland, OR area is $124,000 - $175,000.
