At Apex, you don't just join a company, you help shape what comes next.Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Project Manager:Lead a dynamic portfolio of environmental projects across Minnesota and the Midwest, including environmental due diligence, site investigations/delineation, remediation, and UST removals.Guide sites through MPCA programs such as Voluntary Investigation & Cleanup (VIC) Program, Petroleum Brownfields Program (PBP), and Leaking Underground Storage (LUST) Program, as well as comparable programs in surrounding Midwest states.Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and regulatory submittals in accordance with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and other state-specific requirements.Manage field programs involving soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor intrusion investigations and remediation activities.Maintain project deadlines, budgets, scopes, and overall profit/loss.Hire and manage subcontractors across Minnesota and Midwest states.Mentor and train scientific staff.Proactively ensure safe work performance in compliance with MNOSHA and other state requirements.Build and sustain client relationships across Minnesota and the broader Midwest region.Leverage professional networks to identify business opportunities across the region.What We're Looking For:BA/BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.PE, PG, CHMM, or other relevant accreditation preferred.Experience managing ESA and PCA portfolios.7+ years managing soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects under MPCA or similar Midwest-state programs.Stormwater compliance experience preferred.40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.Proficiency with MS Office suite.Ability to manage a dynamic, multistate workflow.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Why You'll Love Working With Us:Company-subsidized medical and dentalCompany-paid life, short, and long-term disability401k match, tuition assistance, and moreCross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projectsPerformance-based bonuses or other incentivesWorking with the best and brightest in the industry2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the USAnnual Expected Salary Range $85,000 - $95,000 USD depending on experience and/or education
