We are currently looking for Cable Pullers to join our team in Norfolk, VA.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for installing, pulling, and securing various types of cabling systems essential for network infrastructure, including Ethernet, fiber optic, and low-voltage wiring. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency in electrical and telecommunication systems, with a focus on ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality cable management. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in dynamic environments, supporting the deployment of critical communication networks.\nDuties\nInstall and pull cables such as Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low-voltage wiring according to schematics and technical specifications.\nUse hand tools and power tools to secure cables within walls, ceilings, conduits, and cable trays.\nAssist with network wiring setup for LAN (Local Area Network), telephony systems, CCTV surveillance, VoIP systems, and data centers.\nFollow safety protocols related to electrical systems (AC/DC), NEC (National Electrical Code), and RF testing procedures.\nSupport network installation projects by reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.\nConduct cable testing using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and RF testers to ensure integrity and performance.\nCollaborate with technicians to troubleshoot issues related to cabling or equipment connectivity.\nMaintain accurate documentation of cable routes, connections, and project progress.\nAssist in equipment repair and maintenance involving telecommunication hardware or network devices like Cisco routers or Juniper switches.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards including NEC regulations for low-voltage wiring.\nSkills\nProven experience in field service roles involving cable pulling and network installation.\nStrong knowledge of telecommunication systems including CCTV, VoIP, Ethernet networking, and fiber splicing.\nFamiliarity with schematics, technical drawings, and computer networking concepts.\nProficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and RF testers for troubleshooting.\nAbility to operate hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, crimpers) and power tools safely and effectively.\nUnderstanding of electrical systems including AC/DC wiring and electrical safety standards.\nExperience working with data center environments or large-scale network deployments.\nKnowledge of industry standards such as NEC regulations for low-voltage cabling.\nExcellent customer service skills to support client interactions during installations or troubleshooting.\nAbility to interpret technical manuals related to Cisco routers, Avaya telephony systems, Juniper equipment, or similar hardware.\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and project tracking.\nAdaptability to work in diverse environments requiring physical activity and problem-solving skills.\nPass a drug screen and background check.\nCTS offers a comprehensive benefit packet to eligible employees.
