As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. Your primary responsibilities will include:\nAssisting with preliminary tests and examinations.\nPreparing patients for their eye exams by taking medical histories and conducting initial screenings.\nPerforming diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, color perception, and peripheral vision tests.\nInstructing patients on how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses.\nMaintaining and sanitizing equipment and instruments.\nManaging patient records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.\nLearning about insurances and ability to provide accurate quotes.\nHelping to train future employees and positively impact the team culture.\nProviding excellent customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries and concerns.\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in optometry, is advantageous but not required.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team and independently.\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills.\nProficiency with computer systems and electronic health records (EHRs).\nPunctuality and Reliability are required.\nReliable transportation and ability to work in rotating locations (Eagle, Meridian, and soon to be Star).\nMust be able to work 40 hours per week, M-F, 8 hour shifts between window of 7:45am -5:30pm.
