The job environment promotes steady methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on-time and error-free.\nJOB TITLE: Finance Coordinator\nSALARY RANGE: $48,000-$60,000\nFLSA STATUS: Non-exempt\nREPORTS TO: Finance & Operations Director\nLOCATION: Hybrid - SAM is headquartered in Austin, TX\nPrimary Responsibilities of the Position Process day-to-day financial transactions for multiple partner organizations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, and expenses. Standard client load is 10-15 clients\nMaintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with established accounting procedures\nPrepare bank deposits regularly\nReview financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies\nKeep accounts payable up to date by paying bills regularly ensuring each organization's expense approval policy is followed\nOrganize and maintain financial files and documentation in accordance with recordkeeping requirements\nCollaborate with the Finance team to improve processes and ensure efficient workflow\nPerform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned.\nMaintain organized paper and electronic financial records for the finance department\nWork in conjunction with Finance Managers & Director to ensure all tax documents and filings are completed and be available to assist with financial audits\nExperience & Skills Required and Preferred Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field\nOne to two years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience preferred; equivalent education, internship, or relevant work experience will be considered\nExperience using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or similar financial management systems\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work\nExcellent data entry, mathematical, and analytical skills\nStrong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset\nDemonstrated integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information\nComputer/technology tools proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite (this role heavily uses Microsoft Excel) and Mac OS (SAM is a Mac environment)\nExperience working with professional/trade associations/nonprofits is preferred\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nA \\\"rolled-up sleeves/get it done\\\" approach to work and role\nMust be comfortable in hybrid structure and when in the office, a completely open and flexible office space environment\nEmployee Experience The SAM staff team and culture reflects passionate individuals who create meaningful experiences through engaging and creative service and by honoring a diversity of thought and experience.\nOur values are defined by the active way in which we work to achieve them.
