This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those you serve while developing valuable skills in healthcare and community support.\nDuties\nAssist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.\nMonitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and reporting changes in condition in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans.\nAdminister medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration activities.\nPrepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.\nSupport residents during leisure activities, social outings, and community integration efforts to promote socialization and independence.\nMaintain a clean, safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties within the facility or home setting.\nDocument resident progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient status or concerns related to dementia care, autism support, or other specialized needs.\nQualifications\nPrior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.\nKnowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and HIPAA compliance is essential.\nExperience with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.\nAbility to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; CPR and first aid certifications are a plus.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work compassionately with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities.\nDemonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing needs.\nValid certifications in healthcare support or caregiving are desirable; willingness to obtain necessary training if not already certified.\nJoin us as a Direct Support Professional to make a meaningful difference every day!
