This is a senior electrical engineer position that entails working with, and leading cross-functional teams on the design, implementation, integration and qualification of Human Interface Devices.\n\nDescription\n\nMajor responsibilities include:\n\nSchematic capture and managing PCB layout design of the electrical system, including power management, micro-controller, wireless communication, sensor integration and component selection.\n\nExecution of the design in high volume, including characterization and validation across all development builds.\n\nAuthoring of detailed engineering requirements specifications.\n\nWorking with and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners including overseas build support.\n\nInterface with and present to cross functional leaders for project reviews and discussions.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n6+ years of industry experience\n\nExperience working with sensors (e.g. touch, force, pressure), wireless communications (bluetooth), low power design, haptics, and wireless charging\n\nExperience designing high volume, high quality consumer electronic products\n\nExperience leading a technical team\n\nMasters or Ph.D preferred in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelors in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline\n\nMinimum of 4 years of industry experience\n\nStrong EE background in analog, digital, power and PCB design\n\nHands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support\n\nSuccessful track record of working closely with Mechanical Engineering, Firmware, PCB design, and DFM\n\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\n\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
