Data Architect (Databricks focused)Location: West Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)Compensation: $220,000 - $260,000 Base Salary + BonusWe are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with deep expertise across the Databricks ecosystem to help drive enterprise-scale data strategy, architecture, governance, and platform optimization. This individual will play a key role in designing and governing modern data platforms while establishing best practices across Databricks, Snowflake, and MongoDB environments.Key Requirements15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.Extensive hands-on expertise with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.Strong background in data governance, data quality, metadata management, security, and compliance frameworks.Experience architecting solutions across relational, analytical, and NoSQL database platforms.Ability to influence enterprise-wide data strategy and technology decisions.TOAGF certified is strongly preferredResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain relational database schemas for both operational and analytical workloads within Snowflake and other RDBMS environments, ensuring seamless integration with the Databricks Lakehouse.Architect and optimize data models and structures for NoSQL platforms such as MongoDB, including document design, indexing strategies, and query optimization.Develop and establish architectural frameworks that determine when data should reside within Databricks Lakehouse, Snowflake, or MongoDB based on workload characteristics, scalability requirements, performance considerations, and business use cases.Lead data governance initiatives, including data lineage, cataloging, security, access controls, and compliance standards.Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define enterprise data architecture standards and best practices.Evaluate and implement scalable data solutions that support both operational and analytical workloads.Drive modernization efforts and provide architectural guidance for cloud-based data platforms.Robert Half will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
