Psychiatric LPN
Position: Psychiatric LPNType: Full-TimeLocation: Erie OfficeStatus: ExemptDescription: This position provides psychiatric nursing services to clients attending medical appointments through the agency’s Outpatient department. The nurse conducts initial health assessments obtaining physical/mental baseline data for each client prior to a scheduled appointment with the physician.The nurse manages client appointments and ensures that clients are seen timely, and all appointment changes are handled efficiently. The nurse manages the medical office and the flow of clients to and from physician appointments. The nurse also functions as the liaison for the client and family with the physician, insurance providers, pharmacies, and outside referral sources. This position reports to the Director of Mental Health Services.Responsibilities:Provide nursing/health assessments to children.Complete all necessary documentation for services, including treatment planning.Act as a liaison between family members, agency psychiatrists and school personnel regarding medication issues with children.Assist with coordination of treatment with other service providers.Assist families in locating needed resources.Work in an office-based setting alongside psychiatrists and CRNPs.Provide quality care to children with varying degrees of psychiatric and behavioral health needs.Work Monday through Friday; no weekends or major holidays.Why join the Achievement Center of LECOM Health?Competitive Compensation: Base pay is $19.25/hour.Time Off: 8 Paid holidays in addition to generous vacation, sick, and paid time off.Professional Advancement: Certification and professional development opportunities, $200 annual credit towards licensure CEU’s or licensure renewal and dedicated training budget.Benefits: Medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage with additional savings at LECOM Home Host facilities.
