Fuel Technician

HEICO Component Repair Group, a global leader in the overhaul and repair of aircraft components, is looking for a Fuel Technician to join our team.The candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft fuel system components, including HMUs, Fuel Control Units, pumps, valves, and actuators. This role ensures all components are restored to serviceable condition following customer OEM specifications, company procedures, and FAA requirements. The Technician will work with the Quality Control and Engineering departments to maintain accuracy and remain in compliance with the standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform teardown, cleaning, inspection, and repair of fuel system componentsInterpret and follow OEM maintenance manualsPerform testing and calibration of fuel components using test benches and specialized equipmentDocument all work performed in accordance with FAA and company requirementsIdentify parts required for repair and coordinate with Purchasing, Stockroom, or Production Planning as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of the work areaAdhere to safety procedures, including the handling of fuel residues and hazardous materialsSkills and Education ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredAirframe & Powerplant license preferredMinimum of 3+ years of experience repairing fuel componentsStrong understanding of aircraft fuel systemsAbility to read and interpret manuals and technical drawingsExperience with precision measuring toolsFamiliarity with test equipment and calibration proceduresUnderstanding of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirementsStrong attention to detailMust be able to read and write in English Physical DemandsAbility to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending, reaching, and twistingAbility to work around fuels, solvents, and other chemicals while wearing the appropriate PPEAbility to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment This is a great position for someone who loves challenges, a chance to learn an exciting business, and looking for an opportunity to move up in a successful company.
