Training includes both classroom and on‑the‑job training and incorporates both conceptual and hands‑on instructional methods.\nEssential Functions Works with field personnel and supervisors to analyze job tasks and current field performance to determine training needs and program content.\nEffectively implements training programs and field quality audit programs.\nSupervises, directs, and instructs trainees during classroom, hands‑on, and on‑the‑job training assignments.\nEvaluates performance to ensure all trainees are sufficiently trained to perform their assigned duties by reviewing and evaluating field methods in refresher training.\nEnsures that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods, including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship.\nProvides employee feedback and seeks to enhance performance and safety.\nDirects efforts to achieve top quartile excellence regarding safe work practices and safety performance.\nPromotes teamwork among and between all members of the electric distribution and transmission organizations and other internal groups.\nNew equipment and “Moment of Need” training at AWC’s as needed.\nClassroom and hands‑on training in the Wareham MA Training Yard to include: job site setup; installation and removal of underground cable and equipment; splicing/jointing/terminating cable of various voltages and configurations; safe operation of switchgear; switching and tagging; yearly refresher training for qualified line‑workers.\nTechnical Knowledge, Skills, Education, Licenses & Certifications Knowledge/Skill – Requires knowledge of utility transmission and distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes.\nExcellent communication skills; ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands‑on technical instruction with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm.\nRequires leadership, coaching abilities, and schedule management skills.\nAbility to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel).\nWorking knowledge of labor contracts.\nEducation – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience.\nExperience – Minimum of eight (8) years of direct craft experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers and supervising employees. Training or instructional experience preferred.\nLicenses & Certifications – Driver’s License; D.O.T. preferred.\nCompensation and Benefits Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience.
