As the primary point of contact at the assigned facility, the Field Application Engineer will provide engineering guidance, conduct line audits, maintain spare part inventories, and build strong customer relationships to enhance the Graco experience and contribute to business growth.\n\nWhat You Will Do at Graco\n\nCustomer Engagement and Solution Development\n\nEngage with customers to assess their business and technical requirements, identifying the most suitable solutions for their needs.\n\nProvide expert advice on advanced technical pumping solutions and collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager and engineering team to develop tailored solutions for customer installations.\n\nAct as the interface between the customer’s application and Graco’s technology, ensuring seamless integration and performance.\n\nInstallation, Troubleshooting, and Support\n\nAssist in the installation of Graco products at customer sites, ensuring smooth setup and functionality.\n\nMonitor the installed base, provide troubleshooting support, and ensure optimal performance of Graco solutions.\n\nTransfer knowledge and expertise to customers, offering training and ongoing support to ensure proper usage and maintenance of equipment.\n\nIssue Management and Customer Satisfaction\n\nProactively identify and address any critical issues that may impact customer satisfaction or installation success.\n\nKeep management informed of any concerns, ensuring timely escalation of issues that could compromise customer experience or solution effectiveness.\n\nSales and Application Expertise\n\nProvide sales support by visiting channel partners and end users, offering technical guidance and fostering customer relationships.\n\nDevelop and document expertise in industrial and hygienic fluid transfer applications, staying current on best practices and industry standards.\n\nCollaborate with sales teams to identify new opportunities and deliver customized technical solutions to meet customer needs.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Will Bring to Graco\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.\n\n3 + years of experience in technical selling, field application engineering, or related role in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of application development, product integration, and material validation processes.\n\nProficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in real-world applications.\n\nSkilled in assembling and disassembling units, with a clear understanding of how to integrate them into end-user production processes .\n\nAnalytical and creative problem-solving skills to address customer challenges and recommend optimal solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with industrial processes, manufacturing equipment, and materials.\n\nDemonstrated success in technical sales or support, with a proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals.\n\nNegotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with sales teams, distributors, and customers to drive solution adoption.\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the end user’s organization, from maintenance teams to corporate management.\n\nAbility to work independently in a highly technical capacity across diverse industrial environments.\n\nWillingness to travel approximately to 60% as needed to support customer needs.\n\nValid Driver’s License and ability to maintain insurability with Graco’s chosen Fleet Insurer.\n\nAccelerators\n\nGlobal industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.\n\nFamiliarity with PLC communication and troubleshooting is a plus.\n\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
