This experienced person will utilize their professional background to provide project management and design engineering on winery, custom residential, restaurants, apartment buildings and other commercial building type projects.\nAs an Electrical Project Manager at Summit, you will serve as the firm’s direct contact with the client and will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients. You will be responsible for design team leadership, internal project organization, preparing project proposals, design engineering, scheduling and budgeting, as well as business development and generating new work for the firm. The job requires getting things done quickly, handling a variety of activities, and effectively delegating to others. Being able to purposely drive toward results while problem-solving and engaging the commitment of others is essential.\nSalary Range: $130,000 to $180,000 annually\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nIn addition to duties and responsibilities of Project Engineer:\nResponsible for preparation of project proposals.\nEstablishes direction of work to be performed and holds staff accountable for executing on schedule and on budget.\nPrepares project specifications including conditions of contract and General Conditions.\nPerforms and/or checks work performed by other staff.\nProvides input to the Principal in Charge and the Division Manager regarding staffing decisions for a project.\nMaintains close communication with the client, making the client aware of progress, problems, and scope changes. Develops a trusting relationship with the client.\nGives clear directions to others. Communicates clearly with staff, clients, contractors, and outside consultants.\nResponsible for meeting project budget and schedule objectives and provides input to project team and Principal in Charge regarding status of project and budget. Takes action to seek approval for additional services prior to beginning work.\nPerforms regular operational tasks that support the overall health of the firm and inform the management team of firm performance (i.e., invoicing, backlog, contract management).\nProvides mentoring and training for staff in Summit systems. Provides training or serves as resource to staff regarding engineering design principles and concepts and/or problem resolution.\nProvides input to the management team regarding staff performance reviews and training needs.\nCoordinates in-house and/or external consultant-based design teams as required for the successful completion of the work.\nEffectively manages several projects at one time.\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.\nQualifications/Skills:\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, with a concentration in power distribution or lighting design.\nRegistered Professional Electrical Engineer.\nMinimum five years of related project management and engineering experience.\nDemonstrates a proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam Civil 3D, or Revit.\nExhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficient with use of computers including spreadsheets, word processing, and engineering software and ability to prepare electronic design documents.\nAbility to oversee the work of others and delegate work effectively.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and budgets, and meet project deadlines.\nAbility to coordinate in-house and/or external consultant-based design teams.\nExperience in business development with proven expertise in relationship building.\nTechnical competency in design and engineering for the following technical areas:\nPower distribution systems (480V and below)\nCoordination of electrical utility company services\nShort circuit analysis\nEmergency power distribution systems\nLighting design\nLighting control systems\nTitle 24 Lighting\nMust maintain a valid Driver’s License.\nEligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.\nSummit Engineering, Inc. is a multi-disciplined design engineering firm located in the heart of beautiful Sonoma County, in Santa Rosa, CA.
