Construction Estimator

Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Construction Estimator to join our team. This role will focus on building complete new construction estimates, ongoing cost reporting, budget tracking, and supporting project scheduling. The ideal candidate is proficient in construction estimating, comfortable communicating with subcontractors and vendors, and able to leverage AI tools to increase efficiency. This position offers flexibility, starting as a full-time role with potential to shift to part-time hours based on business needs.Job HighlightsSchedule: 8:00 AM to 4 PM Eastern Standard Time - with one hour unpaid for break.Work Arrangement: Work from homeContract: Independent ContractorResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed material takeoffs and construction estimates covering all phases, from excavation to finishes and appliancesTrack ongoing project costs and budgets, updating reports regularlyReview plans, subcontractor, vendor, and material quotes, identifying any gaps or inconsistenciesDraft professional communications via email, text, and phone with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team membersCollaborate closely with the project lead on cost reporting, budgets, and financial trackingCreate and update project schedules as neededUse construction terminology confidently and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholdersUtilize AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity and task managementBreak down complex communications into actionable tasks to ensure nothing is overlookedSomeone who can handle admin tasks such as project scheduling, making calls, managing appointments, simple bookkeeping, and accounting when there is no other tasks.RequirementsProven experience in material takeoffs and construction estimatingStrong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas and budget trackingFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and Google SuiteComfortable working with PDFs and Adobe Reader; experience measuring plans is a plus (training available)Experience with CRM systems preferred (GoHighLevel a plus)Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a bonus but not requiredPractical experience or willingness to quickly learn construction methods and order of operationsHighly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive in self-education and problem-solvingAbility to communicate professionally and effectively in written and verbal formatsPractical, daily working knowledge of ChatGPT and other AI tools to support tasksIndependent Contractor PerksHMO Coverage for eligible locationsPermanent work from homeImmediate hiringSteady freelance jobPlease click the "Apply" button to complete your application, including the assessment questions, technical check, and voice recording.
